Reviews and Ratings
I chose this hotel because it had air-conditioning during a heatwave, which was a lifesaver. However, I had trouble adjusting the room temperature at night due to the AC settings, making it uncomfortably hot.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, and the bathroom even had a separate shower and toilet, fitting its 5-star rating perfectly. The private deck view of the Tagernsee and the separate rooftop sundeck with Alps view were unparalleled. The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and convenient. The location was simply beautiful, offering breathtaking views and easy access to the Egerner Bucht restaurant. The dining experience at Althoff Seehotel was outstanding, with a wide variety of tasty options overlooking the lake. The facilities were modern and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel with its modern classic rooms featuring a nice Bavarian twist, offering spacious and beautiful accommodations. The service was exceptional, ensuring we could enjoy everything from the buffet with a 'nearly nothing is not impossible' attitude, and they promptly addressed any requests. The convenient and fabulous location provided easy access to the village's shops and dining options, combining traditional and modern styles. The dining experience set a high standard, offering an extensive and varied menu with delicious options, although slight delays were noted during breakfast. Overall, a fantastic experience with great facilities and value for money.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were spacious and luxurious, with a big balcony offering breathtaking views of the Tegernsee. Despite the current restrictions, I enjoyed cocktails and snacks at the lobby bar and spent relaxing moments on the lawn. The location was fabulous, between the stunning lake and mountains in Bavaria, offering a picture-perfect setting. The dining experience was top-notch, probably one of the best I've had in Munich.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the room was spacious and filled with all the needed amenities, the high need for refurbishment was evident, making it feel a bit dated. The nice terrace and sliver view of the water added some charm, but the absence of a kettle for tea, despite having a coffee machine, was a strange miss.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms, although a bit dated and small, had a nice terrace and a sliver view of the water. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location directly at the shore of a lake was amazing. The dining experience was one of the best I have ever experienced. The facilities were impressive with a massive underground car park and several restaurant options.
The hotel offers a unique library atmosphere in the rooms, with a very comfortable bed and spacious layout filled with all the needed amenities. While the decor may not meet modern standards, the creative marketing tools used help justify the materials and furniture choices. The location by the Tergensee shores provides stunning views of the Bavarian Alps, making it a fabulous choice for a relaxing stay.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished with large bathrooms, but being near construction meant early morning noise. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster, with some very attentive staff but also encounters with a strict and argumentative individual. The location was amazing with breathtaking views of the lake, fantastic for relaxing and exploring nearby attractions. The dining was exceptional with a great selection of Bavarian dishes and top-quality service. The facilities were good, but the rooms definitely needed refurbishment.
My stay at the hotel was simply amazing. We had a fabulous view of the Tegernsee from our balcony, where we spent much time reading and relaxing. The lobby bar and lawn were perfect for enjoying cocktails and snacks, even my elderly in-laws were impressed. However, the hotel can get a bit overcrowded with noisy kids at times.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of pros and cons. The rooms were large and exceptionally comfortable with an indirect view of the lake, which was luxurious and beautiful. However, the upgrade into an old-fashioned and huge room was in high need of refurbishment. The service was amazing, with very friendly and helpful staff, although there was a minor issue with one staff member missing her bathrobe. The location was fascinating, offering top-quality service, a very fancy hotel, and friendly and cooperative staff. The dining experience was very nice overall, although some felt there could be more variety in the fruit selection. The facilities were great but could use a little improvement in some areas.
